  • Parent Support Group Wine & Cheese Fundraiser

    Sun 14 Apr 2019

Our wonderful Parent Support Group organised a fantastic Wine and Cheese event in The Torrent Complex, Donaghmore on Friday 12 April 2019.

Our parents' talents and skills were evident from the outset. They transformed an exercise suite into a beautifully decorated function room adorned with table cloths, table decorations and fairy lights!

The evening commenced with a Prosecco reception followed by an educational and enjoyable explanation of 8 wines (4 white and 4 red) by Darren Rafferty, wine expert from James Nicholson Wines (Crossgar). A raffle was then held which provided the guests an opportunity to win one of fifteen fantastic prizes. To ensure a fair distribution of goodies, spot prizes were located under one seat at every table in the room.

Entertainment was provided into the early hours by Deaglan Arthurs and his guitarist.

We would like to thank most sincerely all those who helped make this night so very special ~ and memorable :)

  • Christopher Colhoun Basketball Tournament

    Thu 04 Apr 2019

Our second Annual Christopher Colhoun Basketball Tournament took place in The Torrent Complex, Donaghmore. A number of local schools sent their basketball team to the tournament.

As in previous years the competition was mighty, however the main message of the day 'to have fun,' prevailed throughout.

Congratulations to St. John's P.S., Moy who won the large school section and to St. Patrick's PS, Roan who won the smaller school section and the overall competition.

We would like to thank the staff in The Torrent Complex for helping us set up, Sarah McCann for her fair refereeing and Lisa, Grace, Beth and Rhona Colhoun for supporting us on the day!
