Comhghairdeas!
We were delighted to welcome Michael Kerr, Tyrone County Chairman, Donal McGee, Tyrone County Board and Patsy Hetherington, St Patrick's GFC Donaghmore, to our school today. Michael and Patsy awarded our Year 4 and Year 6 children with their Certificates for completing the Basic Irish Language course which has been organised by Tyrone GAA.
We are delighted to be one of the first schools involved in this course and we look forward to all our classes participating from January.
Boys and girls big and small donned their Christmas jumpers, hats, glasses and beedle~bops today. They had great fun rehearsing for the Christmas Festive Favours shows and thoroughly enjoyed their delicious Christmas dinner!
A huge 'thank you' to Paula and the staff in the kitchen for preparing the fabulous meal.
Wayne Denner, the IT and internet safety guru, presented a very interesting and informative workshop to our parents.
It was terrific to see so many parents turn up to find out how to keep their child safe online. Wayne provided information on Apps, Emojis, website and parental protection for the internet and various devices.
Wayne has included our school in his most recent blog and he is looking forward to working with us again in the new year.
Mrs Cahalane had a big surprise this morning when she opened her office door and found an elf.... in a balloon.... on her table!
Let's hope Mrs Cahalane, the staff and all the boys and girls will be extra good on the lead up to Christmas! :)
